„Lost” in Rijeka, Croatia

Hello everyone
Here I am again with a post from Croatia, yes I have been wanting for a while to share with you the city where I stayed for a few nights, namely Rijeka.
Rijeka is quite a big city with more than 129000 thousand inhabitants, today I want to walk together through the streets of the city but also through the harbour on its outskirts, yes the city has a very nice harbour.
I would like to start by presenting to you the accommodation we had in Rijeka, we enjoyed a very good accommodation thanks to our friends who took care of the booking and other formalities, the accommodation was actually a two bedroom apartment called Sunset Boulevard Rijeka.
The host was very welcoming, we were greeted with a bottle of wine, a welcome letter and lots of sweets plus she gave us information on where to park the car.
The accommodation was in a good part of town very close to where we parked the car and the city centre.
We didn't know much information about the city so we decided to discover it on foot, from what we noticed at first glance in the city center you can encounter problems with parking your car (if you come downtown by car).
Let's discover the city.
From the accommodation I took a walk through the narrow but charming streets where I was attracted by some drawings on the walls of some buildings here (Krizaniceva).
After not even five minutes we are already in the city center, I was amazed when I saw that the city has a kind of lagoon where many boats were anchored, most likely they were agreement and fishing boats.
Looking closer into the crystal clear water I noticed a lot of pretty big fish, but on top of that I noticed a lot of dirt on the bottom (that's the only thing I didn't like here), I don't know how they got there, but they certainly never ate fish here.
This is a minor thing that I quickly passed over and captivated by the beauty of the city I arrived at the port, here as expected I saw luxury yachts anchored (probably their owners travel by sea in this way and stopped here in the port to visit the city and why not to eat at one of the chic terraces here.
After visiting this part of town we decided to take a walk to the other side of town to see if we could find a nice beach or something.
I was surprised to see the commercial harbour but also buildings with amazing architecture but the surprise came as soon as I passed the commercial harbour going down some stairs (several hundred stairs, in this city I think I met the most stairs) I came across a small but sensational beach.
After a full day in this amazing city we got hungry so we decided to stop at Bistro Paris for some good food.
To make the day complete we decided to see a bit of what the nightlife was like here in the city, so we focused on the centre and the pedestrianised area where we could find some diversity.
I chose today to test the pizza in this city and to compare it with the one I ate in Italy, in conclusion the one here is unique.
In conclusion (as I already like to give my honest opinion about the place I have presented) if you are in this part of Croatia put Rijeka on the map because it is a city worth visiting, you will find here many activities to do, including gastronomic, everything.
