Life of a strawberry
Greetings to you all
Today I had some strawberries for dessert, as we'll talk about them today, and I thought I wouldn't keep the pleasure of eating strawberries to myself and came up with the idea of presenting you the life of a strawberry from my garden.
In my garden I have a small plantation of strawberries (40sqm), because I love to eat them in winter or to use them to create some amazing recipes (dessert).
I have to mention that strawberries are grown ORGANIC without being sprayed with chemicals the only thing I do is to maintain them (not to grow grass among them) and to water them, it was very simple for me to go to the market and buy a few kilos to put them in the freezer, I don't like this idea and that's why I make my own strawberries which when they are ripe I pick and prepare them to be put in the freezer (in airtight boxes), I believe that after they thaw they are almost the same as if you had picked them then.
Does anyone else around here do what I do, freeze strawberries?
In my area I can only produce strawberries in June-July and then take a break until next year, because of the climate we don't have strawberries all year round.
I love my little garden that I have near the house where I live and I try to enjoy as many fruits and vegetables produced by me, it is not hard to maintain a garden, from the beginning of spring until autumn every day I go to the garden and work something (about 30minutes), for me this is called relaxation (after an 8 hours program at work such relaxation is welcome).
Did I whet your appetite?
Thank you to all of you who have stopped by and may have given a like to my posts, thank you to all the followers of my posts, and until the next post which I don't know what and where it will be about I say, goodbye.
Yours @triplug!
