Fortified Church in Codlea, Brasov County, Romania
Hello everyone
The place we are going together today is one I discovered by mistake when I was on my way to Ploiesti, I have to reach our best friends that evening to get ready to go on holiday.
Where is Codlea?
Codlea is a municipality in Brasov county, Romania, it is not a very big town with a little over 24000 inhabitants but it is small and charming.
As I wrote above I discovered this place by mistake, how did I manage this, I had been on the road for a few hours, I drove non-stop, my legs were already hurting and I actually wanted to get out of the car to walk for a few minutes to recover (I usually don't get so tired on long trips, but unfortunately we encountered road works on the way and we had to go at a snail's pace), at one point I said ready I have to stop and forget about it right next to this Fortified Church.
We left the car in the parking lot and walked towards the church, first we passed a beautiful guesthouse called Zeiden and then we entered a beautiful promenade.
In the promenade area there are special places to stop and admire the Fortified Church and its walls.
When we decided to visit this place we didn't take into account the rather late hour at which we got there, it was already late in the evening, and as you guessed the church was closed so we couldn't take more pictures.

Even if we were not lucky enough to have access to the interior, we enjoyed this place to the fullest, we took pictures, we walked on the promenade and then we set off again because we still had almost two hours to go to our destination.
