Blue Eye, discover Albania's blue paradise

Hope you're well, I'm back too after a week's holiday exploring a new country, here though I didn't have my laptop with me because the internet wasn't great either so I couldn't follow you, but I'm trying to make up for what I missed, lol.
In today's post I want us to go together to a paradise place in Albania, which my wife and I visited last year, namely Blue Eye.
Blue Eye or "Syri i kaltër" as it is known by its name in Albanian is a hidden place in a beautiful area being visited annually by many tourists.
How did we get here?
When I make plans for a holiday I always try to research what I can do in that place every day while I'm there, but there's always something else that comes up that I may have missed or didn't find when looking for information.
So it happened with this place, we actually missed it, on our holiday in Albania we were with our own car, so we looked for places to visit near the resort where we were staying, we were staying in Vlore resort, and this place was about an hour and a half from the resort.
Blue Eye is located in the village of Muzine not very far from Sarande resort (20-30minutes depending on traffic), so if you ever plan a holiday here don't forget about Blue Eye, it's definitely worth it.
You can get to the Blue Eye either by personal car (as we did and it would be the best option), bus directly to the Blue Eye does not exist but only to Gjirokastra or taxi (it is quite expensive to use taxi here), now it is up to your budget.
Schedule and access fees in this national park
Blue Eye can be visited every day of the week between 8-20 (that's what a tourist told us), I give you a tip, visit this place in any season but be sunny, the color of the water is unreal beautiful, we visited this place in summer.
It is very interesting that although this place is in a National Park and is a protected area I did not pay the entrance fee, nobody asked me for a cent.
Next to the access place to the Blue Eye there is a parking lot (if I can say that, the place where you could leave your car was actually on the field), but here there was a parking fee, I honestly don't know how much it costs to leave your car there because we had no place there so we left it on the edge of the road as other tourists did.
What is Blue Eye?
Blue Eye is a natural spring that captures 18 other springs and their waters come to the surface with a very high water flow, creating the sensation that the water is boiling, the water depth is over 50 meters and the water temperature is 10 degrees.
Let's start exploring
After parking the car on the side of the road I took a walk over a path that seemed to me to be on the edge of a dam, access to the Blue Eye is through a beautifully landscaped place, with a specially colored lane for tourists using bicycles or scooters, access by any other means of transport here is prohibited.
The road must be more than a kilometer long, I thought we would never get there, maybe because it was over 33 degrees outside, but until we got there we enjoyed the spectacle of nature and lush vegetation absolutely gorgeous.
After a while we reach the Blue Eye, all along the route you will see information boards, at first sight I was speechless how beautiful it is in reality, my god, what colors, looking more closely I noticed that there was even an observation point above the water, and the first thing I did was to climb to that observation point to better see the beauty of this place.
I stayed there for a few minutes, I didn't want to keep the opportunity to stay there just for myself, so I made room for other tourists, there were a lot of them.
I couldn't resist the temptation not to go into the water for a bit to see how cold it was, yes, I can confirm that I felt like my blood froze in my veins when I took my first steps in the water, it was like ice, even though it was over 33 degrees outside.
I saw some tourists who were very brave, they tried to swim there, but they didn't last more than a minute because of the very cold water.
Right next door you can find a shop where you can take home a souvenir of this place, there are many beautiful things you can find in this shop.
To make your day of exploring Blue eye complete you can stop at a terrace right on the edge of the river, and here the view is stunning.
Activities that you can do here include camping, hiking and hydrobiking.
