This is my entry for the Pay It Forward Curation Contest - Week 89 hosted by pifc@pifc. The contest is run by thedarkhorse@thedarkhorse and I am one of the judges along with tryskele@tryskele, lynncoyle1@lynncoyle1 & viking-ventures@viking-ventures.

The rules of this challenge are very simple: Feature 2 High Quality Original Content Blog Posts from Steemians with a reputation score of 65 or under. The submitted posts must have less than $2 earnings at the moment.)

This week I'm taking another break from featuring artistic posts. Instead, I want to present you a couple of authors who deserve a little more credit and attention: fedoraonmyhead@fedoraonmyhead and josevas217@josevas217.

#1 - fedoraonmyhead@fedoraonmyhead (57)

Brandon Ferdig joined the Steem Network over 3 years ago, on August 20, 2016 and he comes from Minneapolis, USA. He is a political journalist, a very tricky job in these modern times, where the world is severely polarised due to so much propaganda and counter-propaganda coming from the USA, Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Asia.

He tries to stay unbiased, something that many journalists fail to do nowadays, which, in my book, makes them become opinion bloggers, and not journalists.

He's quite interested in economical issues and homelessness as well, doing what he can to help those less fortunate.

In this featured post fedoraonmyhead@fedoraonmyhead talks about a journalist friend of his who's being attacked in Twitter due to a twitter she made and which appears to have been misinterpreted. He then goes on about how the institutions of the USA are failing, one by one.

Political content is something I avoid, in this platform, since there are some whales who will persecute you if their ideas don't match yours... but this post shouldn't trigger any of them. The post is well thought and unbiased.

Besides that, I think it was a good opportunity to talk about the new Talking Point Tribe set up by talkingpoint@talkingpoint, which might be a good move to counter the current state of Steem, where Political Content is not well received, unless it follows the US Mainstream Narrative.

The new Tribe address is https://talkingpoint.co and I'm sure fedoraonmyhead@fedoraonmyhead will be a regular, over there.

#2 - josevas217@josevas217 (64)

Jose Vasquez joined the Steem Network earlier last year, on January 23, 2018. He is from Venezuela but is currently living in Colombia. He writes some posts in English and others in Spanish and is one of the most active members of the ReggaeSteem Tribe, which I'm particularly fond of. In fact, this is the second time I'm featuring one of his posts... something I try to avoid, but when the quality is there, it cannot be ignored.

In this featured post, josevas217@josevas217 talks about the importance of decentralized networks and how positive they can be. He uses the ReggaeSteem Tribe to make his point across. It's a long read, but it's worth it. Check it out:

josevas217@josevas217 is an interesting individual to follow. Oddly enough, many of his posts fly by under the radar.

Final Thoughts

At the time I'm writing this post, one of the blogs is sitting at $0.05 in rewards and the other has only $0.29. A few more upvotes would be very positive for both, so let's give them a little bit of love. Alright?

Both fedoraonmyhead@fedoraonmyhead and josevas217@josevas217 have been regularly blogging and with a great consistency. josevas217@josevas217 interacts a lot with other users while fedoraonmyhead@fedoraonmyhead tends to be more introverted and that might the main thing explaining why josevas217@josevas217 is doing so much better, despite having joined much later than fedoraonmyhead@fedoraonmyhead.

Please give fedoraonmyhead@fedoraonmyhead and josevas217@josevas217 some love and support. Any help is appreciated.

Contest Announcement: Pay It Forward Curation Contest - Week 89 hosted by pifc@pifc.

Please support fedoraonmyhead@fedoraonmyhead and josevas217@josevas217 with a few upvotes, follows, resteems, comments.
I'll share part of the profits of this post with both authors: 0.5 Steem for each, upon payout... unless my post gets misteriously curated by a whale, in which case, I'll be a lot more generous. 😉

Leave me a comment for a chance to win a CC coin, since this post uses the tag #cc from commentcoin@commentcoin!
