Man truly is nothing. This is a very beautiful hand made picture describing the real personality of man. Naked we came into this world and it is certain, naked we will leave at the point of departure. There is a purpose of life. It is important we understand the purpose of life.
What is the purpose of life.
The purpose of life is lasting happiness. Happiness is the purpose of life. We are here to learn how to be happy. And lasting happiness can only come through obedience to eternal principles, through principles of love and righteousness. Through the gospel principles of Christ you can gain lasting happiness.
This happiness is the kind of happiness that can not be affected by outward circumstances. It is important to have eternal perspective in all your thoughts, words and actions because life is temporal and life is a test.
No matter our physical acquisition here we are still nothing because naked we came into the world. In other words all that we have belong to this material world non belong to us. We are naked even while clothed, we are not so different from animals. But even though we are nothing according to the flesh. Yet we are great and wonderful according to the Spirit. We are the image of God in creation.
We have a premortal life with God in heaven as His spirit children before ever we were born. This is very true. If you have an eternal perspective you will see yourself as naked no matter your possessions. This is humility.
