Have you ever had the thought of running away from home to live your life to the fullest without your parents nagging and complaint? I believe we have all thought about this one way or the other or should I just say it seems like something common in my country, haha.

I guess it's relatable to all as many have also told me about the similar experiences.

Well that doesn't stop me from sharing my experience as mine seems kind of more hilarious, so sway with me as I share with you my dream escape experience.

It was just a normal Saturday morning, I woke up with so much energy, it was a normal routine on a Saturday to always eat moin moin(a Nigerian food) in the morning so as usual my mom gave me the money to grind the beans before it was prepared.

As I was on my way to grind the beans ,I saw my friends on the community football field playing football. It was not usual to play football that early morning but I guess something just had to happen that day.

As I was a die hard fan of football, I could not resist the urge to play football that morning even when my mom had sent me to grind the food we were to eat that morning. Though I was a die hard fan of football, I was not too good at it, so I was always dribbled most of the time.

And yes I was a stubborn boy , after every time I'm dribbled, I always wanted to get my revenge and that was not something I could do as I was not a bright football player but my stubborn head no go gree, haha.

Revenge led me to trouble that day as I forgot my mum had sent me on an errand and all I was busy doing was getting revenge on my friends who had made jest of me so much I was angry and frustrated.

After about 5 hrs my mom came looking for me so worried and lo and behold I was right on the field playing football while sweating all over, I can only imagine what my mom thought about me that day.

While I was still playing so hard, I heard my name suddenly from far behind me, I panicked as I knew what my mum's voice sounded like and just at the same time I remembered she had sent me on an errand since morning, at this time I knew I was finished totally.

That was not even the painful part for my mom , but as she called me and I began to run away from her without looking at where I was running, I collided with the beans she had sent me to grind and everything poured on the sand mixing with stones and the likes.

When I was still in dilemma and thinking about the kind of beating I would receive,my mom caught up with me and gave me a resounding slap on my back( I guess you can relate to what I'm talking about but if you don't, it was a kind of slap that will leave you thinking if you could live to see another day ,as you could die from the pain, hehe).

My mum held me by my ears till we reached the house, at this time my ear was hot and red.

She was screaming at the top of her voice and at the same time giving me the resounding slap I mentioned earlier all over my body.

When I thought the misery I was in was over, my dad who had gone out before she sent me on the errand came back and when she saw my mum beating me, he asked what happened and after my mom had narrated what happened, his eyes was red and I noticed I was in another round of trouble , because he hates clumsiness and his child acting stupid was what he hated the most.

After the beating I received from my dad seemed like eternity, alas it ended, with the anger I felt I went inside my room still crying and I was staring at the ceiling.

That was when the thought came to my head to run away from the house and start a new life somewhere else far from my so-called parents who wanted to use beating to kill me. You might be asking the same question as mine now, "where will I see the money to run away and to survive out there". I was keeping about 2500 naira($4) in my save box .

Dumb me was planning to plan my life and settle somewhere else with just 2500 naira, hehe. I guess you can't blame me as I was a little boy and I knew nothing about life.

When I was still planning my escape in my small head, I perceived a strong and nice scent coming from the kitchen, judging from the aroma it was fried turkey and all my escape plan turned to a dream.

I decided to forgive them and move on as their loving child, hehe, so I could eat turkey that night because why not, won't you forgive them too, haha.

That was how it all turned to a Dream Escape. The smell of fried turkey alone changed my thoughts, I guess that's how much I loved food.hehe.

I hope I'm not alone in this Dream Escape Fantasy, share yours with me, and I will be glad to read them all.

Thanks for stopping by and always make sure you are filled with food before thinking about anything stupid, hehe.

Cheers!
