I love the festive season. For me, it's always a period of joy and excitement. Right from my childhood days, I have always looked forward to the festive period.

One thing that commonly happens during the festive period is that people make plans. People make plans of how they are going to celebrate and spend their time during the festivities. My case is no different.

One of my plans is to stock my house with food items. The price of food items usually inflate during the festive period, and I hope to avoid having to buy them for ridiculous prices. In addition, I want to have enough food items to prepare wonderful, special meals, especially on Christmas day.

Just like in many households, it is tradition in my family to prepare a big, delicious meal on Christmas day. It forms part of the celebration. We prepare different kinds of beautiful dishes that we will eat on that day.

Next, I plan to spend Christmas with my extended family. Spending Christmas with family is always amazing and fun. I intend to have my uncles, aunties and my cousins over in order to celebrate together. My cousins in particular always make Christmas exciting. We play a lot of games and have fun discussions. Indeed, family makes Christmas special. I also plan to go out with my family. We would explore tourism centers, attend events and carols as well.

Another plan I have is to show love by giving. Christmas is a season of love. I want to express love in my own way. I want to give to those who are in need or less privileged. I plan to give things like food items, clothes and any other basic items to orphanages, charity homes, and people who I know are in serious need. This category of people do not have the privilege of celebrating Christmas like other families, hence it's only right to make their Christmas special in my own way.

I also plan to get gifts for my parents. They have been phenomenal and supportive all year, and it is my way of appreciating them.

I am aware that some of my plans would require balancing it with my daily activities. Well, I will tackle this by practicing proper time management. I'll divide my day, and ensure I do my daily tasks as quickly as I can, so that I can have the time to carry out my plans.

Thankfully, the festive season is usually a holiday season, so that's an advantage. It means I would have more time to carry out my plans for the festive season.
