Many people find themselves at the range for the first time not knowing what to do and what not to do therefore I thought its best I iron out any frustrations or confusions. Again , I have been in these positions of not knowing therefore I am making it easier for other first timers.
- Do not point your firearm at any person even if you think it is fun! The only time you should point your firearm is when you are ready to shoot.
- Always keep your muzzle pointing down range at all times.
- Treat the firearm as loaded at all times.
- Always wear eye protection at all times
- Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
- You should always know what is beyond your target
- Make sure your firearm is safe when not in use.
- Be familiar with your firearm, safety etc..
- Wear correct ear protection
- Never look down a barrel !!! The thought of this makes me cringe
These are a few rules to get you started however the rules can go beyond this.
