Typically, most organisations or shooting clubs use paper/cardboard targets that look like the below:

Depending on the calibre you shoot you either fall in the Major/Minor class and scored as follows:

Steel poppers score 5 Points and are only scored if dropped:

Steel plates also score 5 points when dropped, picture of a steel plate below:

Missing targets can be detrimental because it minus ten points and if you try engaging a metal target and not drop it you get a penalty.

This is just the basics and will get more in depth as we go along but this is enough to get one going in the sport.
