Hey folks, today I want to review a product that we rely heavily upon for website security in addition to our firewall and is a nice to have if you are serious about protection.
We currently have a setup whereby we have our websites hosted locally on our webserver.
Initially we had it setup such that our websites would be published to our public IP's which put us at a risk whereby hackers could learn our IP ranges and then form a DDOS or any other malicious attack.
Therefore we investigated and found that Cloudflare would be the best solution for this as it hides our IP as well as provides DDOS mitigation.
Additional to the above is that it protects subdomains and provides SSL.
We also have a web application firewall which I honestly have not found the need to use just as yet but I thought I would let you guys in on a very neat product that we are now using.
