Yes. I can always claim my refusal to use stuff that asks for KYC as a reason to not know about them. But KYC is getting everywhere now, right?
I would use stuff that demands KYC if there was one place for it - like BankID or something. BankID has already figured out who I am and approved me, so if I could use that to login to stuff, and they vouch for me - and do not give my personal info away - I might be ok with it. But sending pictures of my ID or passport, a movie of myself holding it, and copies of bank statements and utility bills to every bloody website and then they say "sorry, I wasn't paying attention, send again please?" or "Our database says you live at this address not that!" when the address they've got is 10 years old... I also don't get why they demand utility bills at all. I don't have any! My hubby's name is on them. Not mine.
All this KYC stuff just reminds me of when I tried to cancel the TV-license that was in my first hubby's name, after he died, and I kept getting letters back saying they needed his signature to cancel it, or they'd add a late fee, and another late fee, upon the first late fee.. And his sister somehow succeeding in putting all our stuff in storage, and locking me out from it. Yep, ALL. I had to start life over from buying new underwear and a toothbrush to trying to remember what schools I went to and what employers I'd had so I could get new documents to use when applying for jobs.
