Today marks my 3rd day working with Lawrenceville Main Street. Lawrenceville main street is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit that focuses on the restoration of historic parts of the community.
This group is apart of a larger, nationally recognized organization that operates in cities all across the United States, but this particular branch focuses on a single business strip in Lawrenceville, NJ.
My soul job is the watering and upkeep of Lawrenceville’s newest planters. This has been a great experience with me so far. As an aspiring gardener, learning the different plants, needs and soil composition has been very educational. But my favorite part of my job is admiring nature.

It has rained here the last few days and I was hesitant to water the flowers. After a closer inspection, I realized that only the top part of the soil was wet. So I watered everything again. To my surprise, there were a lot of insects that took shelter in the planters in order to escape the rain! Here are a few of the little ones.
