Glòries tower, previously Agbar tower is a skyscraper in Barcelona representing the start of the technology neighbourhood. With 145 meters in height, the building is the fourth tallest in the city. The tower is a work by the architect Jean Nouvel which he took inspiration from other catalan works like the natural forms of Gaudí’s. The construction of the building started in 1999 and was completed in 2005. The structure was developed as a Bioclimatic structure all in an effort to reduce carbon footprint. The colour effect is achieved by bleeding concrete, glass and aluminium of varying hues.
