So lets say I was given an unlimited budget and one solo Saturday to myself, see I'm not stressing over what to do at all, my mind is already made uo on the things that I want to do, so first thing first, I'm getting myself an apartment, a proper one o, not one small self contain that I will be managing and telling myself it's okay, it's a start, no not at all, I actually want space, I want somewhere I can breathe, somewhere that is fully mine, where I don't have to answer to anybody about how I arrange my things or what time I choose to sleep or wake up, that independence right there, that's worth alot to me.
I'm not stopping there , I will buy a house and I mean an actual house that I can call mine, very something solid, something that says I bought this one, not just for me alone but as something that stands as proof of how far I've come, because when I think about everything I' have been through.... taking care of things and people around me, struggling in silence while still showing up for everyone else, a house like that would not just be property to me, it would be a whole testimony, It would be me looking back and saying see what God did.
So now to the investment part, that one is non negotiable for me, because money that just sits and does nothing isn't really useful to me long term, i would invest, and I'm talking real investment, stocks, real estate, something that keeps growing even when I'm not actively working for it, growing up the way I did, seeing how quickly life can change, how quickly things you thought were stable can just disappear, has taught me that financial security isn't something you play with, I want my money to keep working, even on the days I'm resting, because I refuse to be caught unprepared again by life the way I have been before.
And finally, shopping for my family, that's the part that actually excites me the most sha, honestly, being able to walk into a store and just buy things for them without checking my account balance first, without doing that mental math of
can I really afford this.... that feeling right there would be worth more than any amount of money I spend, It's my way of saying thank you for still being here for me, thank you for holding on with me even when things were rough.
So that's it for me, apartment, house, investment, and shopping for my people, nothing really extra, nothing complicated, just building the kind of life and security I never had growing up, and making sure the people I love feel that security too.
