I am not a fashion enthusiast of any sort in fact me I don't follow trends at all, see me? nothing about what is "in" concerns me, honestly, what I care about is looking good and also feeling comfortable in what I wear those are like my only two rules.
I do not want to step out and see twenty people now wearing the same kind of thing before I even get to the junction, omooo..... that kind of thing does irritates me deeply, there is something about wearing what everybody is wearing that just kills the whole point for me, Like, what exactly are we even doing? When it is not aso ebi, even aso ebi sef is difficult for me to buy and wear.
Okay let me make an instance I just remembered from years ago ,so there was this gown that I had, I really loved that gown alot, I wore it for months and every time that I put it on, I felt really good in it but then one day I saw someone else in the exact same design, I almost exposed, but that was it I gave it out, it was still a brand new gown, I just didn't care, once I see it on someone else, the magic the cloth does is gone for me.
I think that is how I am just wired, I want to wear something because I like it, not because everyone else is wearing it or that they have it, what people don't know is that trends will always come and go, and the people chasing them will always be running, I would rather just stand still in something I actually love.
Another thing here is that I dont think that dressing well has anything to do with you following trends, you can wear something that has been in your wardrobe for years and you will still look really good if it fits you well and you carry yourself confidently, see me i have seen people wear very expensive trending clothes, and honestly, it still didn't look good on them, then I have also seen people wear very simple outfits and they looked amazing, so for me, it has never really been about whether something is trending or not.
I also don't like the pressure that comes with trying to keep up with trends,Every few months, there is one new style everybody is rushing to buy, before you know it, another one has replaced it, If you keep chasing every trend, you will just keep spending money without ever feeling satisfied, me, I would rather use my money to buy clothes I genuinely like and know I will still wear years later.
