Hello beautiful people of hive, it's a good day today and I am happy I am able to write here today, you might ask why I am happy writing, that is because I had a bad network throughout today that was why I said I am happy I have got to share my opinion on the topic for the weekly prompt.
There was one time I had asked someone why it was that the price of some certain things was so high and things that were irrelevant would be very cheap to get, you want examples, things like cigarettes, weed, refs, etc. are so easy to get, but we see a lot of people dying out of hunger because they are not able to eat well.
Well what can I say it has become the norm of this nation to see certain things as normal, before I asked this person this question, we had been discussing on the importance of rice from the be in republic border, the woman with whom I was discussing said things are too expensive in our country and why I tried to give her reasons as to why they were like that until she made me understand a lot about the schemes those customs officers do engage in and why some or should I say all of them, because it's rare to see a genuine uniform person in this part of the world.
If they could stop this issue of seizing people's foodstuff business and just conduct a normal search on the vehicle then make it difficult for traders to get their business goods to their sales point.
And because it is difficult for them to get their good down to the selling point, these traders add up the expenses they incurred from the point where they themselves brought them till it gets to their selling point.
Because of this kind of thing, we the citizens are put down to suffer the burns if it, we have to pay triple the price of what they went through, in monetary terms of course.
I wish the Nigerian government would ban the wrong importation of harmful stuff to the body, like the previous stuff I mentioned, because it adds no value to us and it is something that even kills one's immune system. I sometimes wonder why people still go for what they know won't give them anything.
They should make the importation of food items very easy so as to enable us citizens to pay less for food items especially rice that they do seize at the border, sometimes I wonder why they do that.
It was this, my street neighbour that made me understand that they usually resold the goods they seized, this simply means that they are only searching the border for their self-gain.
So for me let there be an end to the illegal seizing of food items and there should be a ban on harmful substance that doesn't do well to one's body.
These corrupt custom officer should, stop seizing good items and starting it easier for this food items to reach ot final stage.
Let there be a ban on the things that aren't pleasant to anyone
