Hi in thiis post i'd like to tell you about Diamond Princess vessel.
It's a large cruise ship built on the branches of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Japan. Launched in 2004. The ship has a twin ship Sapphire Princesses. And together they enter the class GEM consisting of 3 more ships( Ruby Princess, Emerald Princess and Crown Princess).
Initially, the Sapphire Princess and the Diamond Princess had to have opposite names. But because of the fire, in order to meet the deadlines for the delivery of ships, they were renamed. What allowed to surrender the ships on time.
The length of the vessel is 289.56 meters of draft of 8 meters, displacement of 115,875 tons
The ship has 17 decks, of which passengers are accessible 13. Maximum speed 21 knots, average 19 knots. The capacity is 2670 people and 1760 people crew.
As you can see it's really grand ship. It is even bigger than the building of the sea terminal and much longer than the pier.
