Looking at the silver lining while in transit

The few times that I would be able to go home in the province always bring me to the realization that things are ever changing. I have travelled and sat at the window seat of the bus for more than two decades already, but, this familiar road always have something new to offer. The view is always changing, always surprising the spectator in me.

The often unwanted seat in the car has been my comfort seat, I would always insist that I sit on the third row, cramp, but it provides a wonderful frame of the view outside.

Mount Arayat, located in the province of Pampanga, it's actually an active volcano. But, hiking activities are also offered by the locals. Although, the neighboring Mt. Pinatubo is a much more known hiking place among tourists. The view of Mount Arayat always reminds me that it's 3 more hours and I'll be home.

When I thought, it will just be an ordinary trip to home, the view outside got more interesting when I saw a silver lining. A silver lining is usually used as a metaphor. "Just look at the silver lining." That is what I always hear from people when I get into difficult situations. It's a beautiful metaphor, but also a beautiful phenomena that could be seen with our eyes.

There were a lot of electrical wires on the road that it makes it difficult to appreciate the beauty of the silver lining behind. When I got to see it with less distractions, I was able to appreciate the stillness of the moment just looking at the rays of sun peeking through the gray clouds.

Land travel can be really boring at times, that is why I would always bring a book just in case I would get bored looking at the outside. But this trip was breathtakingly beautiful for me, or maybe, I was just needing the dose of nature that I was able to appreciate every details of the view in front of me.

This rice paddy waiting for the next planting season made the view so scenic by reflecting the view of the clouds. When the dirt settles down, the murky water is able to mirror the beauty of the skies above. Same as how our clouded mind is able to think clearly once our thoughts are put into place.

The last photos I'll be sharing were taken when the sun was about to set. It's always nice to be on the road sunsets, although it only takes a few minutes, the changing places also changes your perspective. You could be chasing the setting sun or going to the opposite direction and missing the perfect view. Nonetheless, the skies above is vast enough of a canvas, it will always show a beauty that is unmatched with the things we're expecting. :)
