Hi Everyone,

As my boys starts to grow up, I am also worried they won't need me that much day by day. My boys are very independent and I am proud of them but a part of me hope they will think of mummy more often which they do now and many times they actually look after me. Recently my little one BB M have seen an educational numbers video at school and since then, he hasn't been very happy which we didn't know why he was upset until 2 nights ago. With my older boy, we used to watch a show called Numberjacks and there are villians there "stealing" numbers so the good characters need to find ways to get those numbers back to make maths questions work. We've seen the show before and didn't think it was an issue but I guess everyone child is different.

BB M have been pretty quiet at school the last week according to the teacher and there were times he asked for my hubby or me at school which is super strange. The teacher thought so too and gave me a call but we couldn't work out what it was. Finally on Thursday night, he told us he can't sleep because he could see the baddy number monsters and then broke down crying. He wouldn't let go of me and just wants me to be there with him so I decided to read our bedtime story in his bed. Hubby decided he should read the book and I stay in bed with him to give him comfort. The very second I got in, he held my hand and won't let go. He haven't done this for so long except when he had COVID earlier this year and was not feeling well but most times he would just come for a big hug or kiss, nothing like this. I felt bad for him, being scared of a fictional character who is trying to teach maths to young kids. He finally went to sleep ....

After 20 minutes, he woke up and ran to us and refuse to get in bed so at that time I think he will have to sleep with me. If you could see the last picture, his hair was full of sweat because he was so afraid he would be taken away like the numbers. It's a moment I wish I could hold him to tell him I'm there but I took the other way the next day to tell him its not real and he needs to be a big boy to overcome this bad monster. Hubby also taught him ways to forget and beat this monster but I think these moments are very precious for us. He was open to tell us how he felt, he knew he can rely on us (and always can) and to still see me as his best support. These moments are precious and I hope the things we have taught him how to become strong will stay for him forever.
