Yes, but not the way you’re picturing it. Nakamise-dori, the covered shopping street leading to Sensoji Temple, is never locked or gated — you can walk it any hour. What closes is the shopping: the roughly 90 stalls selling souvenirs, snacks, and crafts along the street shutter for the night by early evening, well before Tokyo’s usual dinner rush.
