The Coliseum (amphitheater) has a capacity of 30 thousand people. The third largest in the Roman Empire after the Colosseum in Rome and the amphitheater of Capua. The amphitheater was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979. There were also shootings of the Oscar-winning film "Gladiator".
