Hi Hiveans, hope you are doing well 🙂

One of my favourite hiking spot in Da Nang is Marble Moutains and tis highly recommended to visit if you travel to this lovely coastal city. The mountain has 5 peaks and some stunning caves, interesting statues and serene temples worth discovering. Many works of art in the mountains are more than 100 years old.

After first few steps of hiking, you will get to see these beautiful statues

History: Following the legend of Cham, long time ago, there was a giant dragon who flew to give her birth in here. After that, the dragon’s egg became bigger and bigger until one day, a fairy flew from the dragon’s egg and their egg’s shell grew into five mystical Marble Mountains as people see today. In the 19th century, Marble Mountains had been named “Ngu Hanh Son” by Minh Mang (the second King of Nguyen Dynasty) according to the theory of five essential elements of Eastern (water, wood, fire, metal and earth). If you don't like to hike up, you can take the elevator at Gate 2. It will take less than 2 hours to roam around and explore the area. Due to the current situation, the place is not crowded as before and free entance now. I prefer doing a small exercise to walk up and enjoy the tranqitity as well as the green scenery there. 🙂
