Description from Strava: I had to go to the hospital to get some tests done ā itās relatively close to my home ā and I decided to take the opportunity to go for a walk.
Before crossing the pedestrian tunnel, I saw a drawing on the wall that looked like a Mona Lisa to me⦠I donāt know if the artist was in a hurry or simply decided to leave it like that to finish it in another session. It was drizzling and a bit cold.
At the kiosks under the 100 and Boyeros bridge I saw they were selling rechargeable lamps, and since yesterday Iāve had it stuck in my head that I wanted to buy one. So I planned to pass by again on my way back and take a lamp home⦠like a light-sabre to fight the sad darkness of the blackouts.
I carried on towards the hospital, and during the consultation I explained the discomfort Iāve had for a while, which has now started to worry me. They ordered blood and urine tests. That little finger prick is awful! Once I handed in the samples at the lab, they told me to wait an hour⦠well then, perfect ā I took the chance to visit my friends Amanda Flores and Edu āel Dulceā. Hahaha⦠weāre always joking around and giving each other nicknames. It was on my way to their house that I saw the elephants.
I had a snack there, because Amanda always says I look hungry. Hahaha⦠and I had coffee again, since thatās what Iād had before leaving home⦠and itās something Iāll have to cut out for the next few days.
The test results came back a bit off, as expected; however, nothing too concerning. Apparently I need to treat that small infection with antibiotics before it keeps progressing and reaches the kidneys.
I wonder if the Mona Lisa and the elephants have some hidden message for me about my discomfort, and whether Iāll recover soonā¦
