Sigh, I've upvoted some of your posts to mitigate some of the effects of his downvotes. Hopefully others will find their way here too

It hasn't been a week yet, things are generally looking a lot better, but now and then something like this happens.

There's a lot of things to focus on right now and we're collectively working and communicating with a lot of major players in the hopes of bringing honest curation as the dominant form of voting behavior and staking returns on this platform.

Eventually, I'll get to slowwalker and likely have a conversation with him, maybe with some of the other whales too. The sad thing about him throwing out those nukes is it means not only did his behavior not adjust in response to the new economic changes, he also signifies that he has no intention to use his downvotes in a helpful way by wasting them bullying smaller users like you (relative to his stake). Surely even if he wanted to continue his vote swapping antics, he could at least find some abusers that also happen to be soft targets to do a little bit of good too?

Anyway it's early days, we'll get to him. Generally speaking I find a combination of communication and action work the best. I don't think he fully appreciates that he is not longer trapped in his voting circle but can fully embrace a better and more wholesome steem by leading the charge in honest voting. Indeed nothing will improve the prospects of our investment more if he would join me as a reformed whale and give back to the community now that it isn't stupidly futile and expensive to fight against abuse. And nothing hurts our investment more than sticking with the old ways of trying to funnel all our voting rewards back into our own pocket and letting the entire ecosystem crash and burn.

The economic incentives no longer punish honest usage more than anything else. I hope I can eventually get through to him and we can all make this a functional POB platform and truly realize its potential as a discovery/rewards based social media platform.
