For all I know, I was not angry that night. I was calm and tired, not drunk. But I was disappointed because Maya misunderstood me. I was upset, not angry. But he was mad at me instead of calming me down. I tried to signal to him that I was arrogant. I wanted to get her attention, but she was ignoring me. So we argued with each other.
There were some broken things on the floor and few old papers too. And I felt like I drank something, looking vague. My head felt heavy; looking up, there was something white on top. The saline pipe and the awful smell made me realize that I was in the hospital. I was trying to move, but as a result, I was feeling pain. I don't know why I woke up thinking of my last thoughts. Why the previous thoughts? The sunlight was coming into the room through the window; the eyes were flashing in the sunlight. They were too bright, but I could not see clearly. I turned around the room, staring at the light green wall painting towards the door; no one was there.
There was no one besides my bed, I wondered who had brought me here, but when I looked around the room, I could not notice a shadow by the high ends of the bed. He was standing there looking at me with emotionless eyes and a stony face.
I asked, hey boy, do I know you? But he just stood there, silent. So I stared at him too.
We just stayed there, silently, as if it were a kind of competition. Then, after a while, he quietly left the room without breaking the stare or the silence.
I went back to the pillow and wondered who had brought me here. As much as I tried, I didn't get anything; in the end, I fell into a deep slumber.
I felt I was wrong; I was furious and drunk that night. We argued over trivial matters. I got out of the room in anger and had an accident on my way home. I felt someone very close to me; I woke up.
As soon as I opened my eyes, I saw Maya's teary face. I still couldn't move my head; I felt pain whenever I tried to move. I couldn't even get up from the bed and hug Maya; she came forward and hugged me. When I sincerely apologize to her, she says sorry. I realized what had happened that day; the result, I was to blame. I am responsible for my situation; I should not have hurt Maya at all.
