My parents and I were walking in a park about a kilometer away from our house at 5:00 pm as usual. We walked there for about 30 minutes. Then, while we were resting, we saw a man we had never seen in our area. He sits down with a board next to him and writes on the board, "Hungry, need money to buy food." Of course, no one feels this way, but the English used to beg like this. They know that people come here for a walk this time and it is a perfect place to raise some money.
I also felt sorry for his poverty, so I gave him 50tk out of my pocket. We saw different kinds of people there begging. Most of them were bluff masters who pretended to take money from others; we saw them every day. Their tactics were familiar to us, so we did not fall into their trap, but they collected enough money to survive. I thought, when will you understand this stupid strategy.
A bluffer put his money under his table, and he behaved as if he were singing and very foolish. We returned home at 6:30 pm, and while we were eating our food, we talked about a beggar. My dad didn't believe he bluffed, but I argued with him that the beggar bluffed everyone. While we had our breakfast the following day, my dad said we saw yesterday that only one bluffer would have a board. So this evening we are going to the park as usual.
We didn't see any beggars here today, but we did see a talented person dancing with the same board that we saw him on yesterday. Going closer, I realized that the person I saw yesterday was the same. So now my dad admits he's not bluffing. We give them 50tk each, and they are happy. So now I'm writing about the unusual things we saw yesterday and today.
I wonder, why aren't talented people like this man given any importance in our society? So many people around us are being neglected; their talents are not getting important in our society. Instead, we should value them and stand by them.
