It began with a clear and firm description of the various duties of man. Christ as the head of the man, and the man as the head to his wife.
On the other hand, the wife is submitting to her husband and the husband loves his wife, in summary each and everyone has their specific duty to fulfill from the gospel.
Going further, we see in the scripture
“Ephesians 5:23 says (kjv)-For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church:and is the savior of the body.”
In verse 25,
”Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.”
As a home consists of a father, mother and children.. The scriptures tell the different duties particularly for a christian home, where the father or the husband is the head leader in the home.
What makes these a necessity is seen in the book of 1st Timothy 3:5(kjv)- (For if a man know not how to rule his house,how shall he take care of the church of God?)
This simply explains how important the role of a man is as the head of a christian home. His devotion to his family and manner of rule would determine how well he could take care of the church.
The scripture however still wouldn't spare a man, husband or father who fails in meeting up with his responsibilities as the head of the household.
Still in the scripture ”1st Timothy 5:8(kjv)-But If any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house,he has denied his faith,and his worst than an infidel.”
Brother Eli interprets the duty of a man as it is stated in the scripture, especially that of a christian household.
A true christian husband's faith is proven by how well he takes up his responsibility as the head of the home.
Only then, he could clearly states his faith in Christ.
