Hi steemit community, today I bring you the readings of quantities and the sum to compete this good material that is very good to learn from the abacus I hope it will serve you a lot.

QUANTITY READING

To read quantities in the abacus place it on the table and hold it with both hands, write for example 345.893 in the first and second class, then slide your index finger over the dividing ruler from right to left until you find the point of a thousand, then locate in this case the hundreds of thousands and be able to start reading, slide your fingers along the axes recognizing each of the digits to finally read the written amount. Do not forget that you can write quantities in any part of the abacus (right, middle and left). The important thing is to respect the order of quantity (units, tens, hundreds, etc.).

SUM

To start the process of addition in the Japanese abacus, write the first addition in the first class for example 3 and the second adding in the seventh class 4, now add 3 that we have in the first class plus 4 units we have in the units of the seventh class (3 + 4 = 7), this result is written in the units of the first class (after deleting the three that are in the units).
