long have I lived on the edge of your vision

accepting my place as a fool among kings

but hear me now sing magic to mountains as

sparrows of sunshine spread tenuous wings

we fly over castles of man’s good intentions

which keep out invaders of unknown content

their animal passions cloaked in false reason

and blind to the truth of nature’s intent

altered perceptions give way to danger

of misunderstanding rhythm and sound

so listen now to the voice of a stranger

perhaps what we lost can one day be found

life with intent and love without reason

here is the aim of my quest to be found

to have a true purpose in creations invention

then will we realize to each other we’re bound
