A Quick Walk around the Yard

A few days ago I went over to feed my landlords puppers, and on the way I noticed an interesting cloud formation. Of course by the time I fed the dogs and went back to retrieve my camera, the clouds had drifted off.

Not to be dissuaded I noticed some wild flowers in the garden out front.

I noticed these sparkly firework grasses

with a delicate rose colored bud..

Then moved on to some evergreen berries. I think this is Juniper?

A grove of shady trees offers relief..

Next I wandered over to the side yard, where I it looks pretty much like a giant weed patch when I'm in gardening mode.

There I discovered a playful swirly vine wrapped like a lover around a dead flower stem.

The nice thing about looking with my other eyes is this gives me time to slow down and take in details

and to reflect on the incredible imagination found in nature.

Upon investigating a patch of white horehound

I spied a bee nomming a bit of sweet nectar

perhaps leaving some pollen traces which will bear fruit in the future.
