Like probably many people, my dogs and I started this month quite actively under the motto "New Year - new us". In the first week, we actively went for walks despite the deep snow. But already in the second week of the month, a frost of -20 degrees added to the snow and I had to give up walks. The reason was not only the cold, but also the ice. I have a sore back and falling on the ice could have been a disaster for me.
So, we moved from the forest under a warm blanket. Not such a bad option. Of course, I tried to do the exercises that the doctor told me to do. But I lacked walks. The dogs didn't complain, but I think they had similar thoughts.
I had a lot of problems with the car this month. It was also connected with the cold. My old diesel just refused to start. As a result, the set of my car accessories was replenished. I bought a new battery charger and a new compressor. These purchases were necessary for a long time, but I put it off until life forced me to do it.
Another purchase was a battery-powered lamp. Its main purpose is for the garage. But now, during the blackout period, I use it in the house.
A pleasant surprise was the blooming of spring flowers on my windowsill. This year I didn't leave bulbs in the soil and, as further events showed, I did the right thing. An unexpectedly cold winter could just kill them.
For the first time in a long time, I had a desire to return to creativity. I took the drawings that I once created and processed them with AI. I liked the result. But what was much more useful was that I saw what and how could have been done better. In this sense, AI can be not only a tool for improvement, but also a tool for self-learning.
In the meantime, we are waiting for another cold snap, which has already begun and by Monday the air temperature will drop to -22. Fortunately, my work in the next two weeks will be remote and I hope to survive this period easier than I thought.
