Periodically I have periods of nesting. That's what I call it. These are the periods when I have a great desire to improve the space around me. And then I can really do everything. Or almost everything. The most interesting thing is that I never know which part of the house or yard will become my next victim.
This time I firmly decided to get rid of the barbecue. It's huge, we rarely use it. But at the same time, it creates a lot of problems. You know how it happens: if something is uncomfortable, there is an instant mess.
The aviary became an additional problem. Because of the rather limited space, I couldn't clean there properly.
At first I wanted to sell the barbecue. But then a thought came to me - I wanted a high flower bed for a long time! And only now I realized that I actually have it, but it's not where it should be.
I don't know what kind of adrenaline gave me strength, but I moved the bulky structure to another place on my own. It didn't bother anyone here. Everything turned out so organically that it seemed that it was always here.
Then I removed all the garbage that I couldn't get to and removed the net of the enclosure. I finally put things in order there, too.
Now I had to eliminate the unconcreted fragment of the site. It took some time. I bought bags with crushed stone and concrete and did everything gradually. I'm telling this quickly, but in fact the whole process took about two weeks. Well, how many bags of crushed stone can one woman carry at a time? Slowly, but I was moving forward. Every day.
At the same time, I removed excess soil from the rest of the site and took it to the end of the garden. Also slowly, 2-3 buckets a day, so as not to hurt my back. I also gradually painted the rusty metal pillars. After the last attack of neuralgia, my hands became weaker. But I still stubbornly moved forward.
Finally, in general, everything was ready, the last touch was the purchase of a small thuia.
I put a sun lounger and a homemade table. Now this is the place for my morning coffee. Of course, I will improve this place in my yard further, but I have already done enough by myself and it pleases me, especially when I compare how it was and how it became.
