It seems that spring has finally come to us. But should we be surprised, because there are only three days left till the calendar spring. I decided that it was high time to start spring work. The first item on the programme was the bird cages. It was necessary to remove the old straw bedding, clean the nests, and fill the feeders with food.
While I was working on the aviaries, the dogs took up an observation position in the yard. They basked in the sun and watched to see if I was doing a good job. Indeed, how could I have done it without them!
I really love spring days like this. The warm but not hot weather allows me to be in the garden as much as I want. I really enjoy tending to my animals and plants, but unfortunately the summer heat will soon limit my possibilities.
The first sprouts of future flowers have already started to appear. It's unbelievable! The end of February! A couple of years ago at this time, my yard and garden were covered in a thick layer of snow.
Tomorrow I have scheduled my dogs to be treated for ticks. This is important, because these nasty insects are already awake and ready to cause us all kinds of problems! I hate them... I have already bought the necessary tablets that will help to fight these.
