Today I played a little with filters to make portraits of my cats. It's Katya and Fairy (black).
Katya and Fairy are the two oldest cats in my house. I would call them veterans of our pack. Katya appeared in the house in the year we bought it, and Fairy - two years later. So it's not just cats, it's a whole era. All these years Katya was an indisputable leader and authority among my animals. She is respected by everyone from chickens to dogs. She met newcomers and monitored order in the house and in the yard.
Last fall, Katya decided that the burden of leadership was too heavy for her honourable age and decided to retire. She transferred her powers to Fairy as the next cat in the house.
Fairy turned out to be a worthy student and follower. She easily took responsibility for the order in the house and none of the animals objected to it. Although she has less authority than Katya had, even that is enough to control the situation.
