I left hospital nursing because I couldn't deal with the stress of it anymore. Not the stress of critical patients, but:

fighting patient's deaths while being told your 8 hour shift until 11PM is being extended to 730AM (you still have to be back at 3PM that afternoon) oh and by the way admin said coffee at the nurses station looks bad and your shoes have black stitching and don't meet our dress code of all white. Oh and Easter isn't a paid holiday (because admin is off on Sunday anyways) but if you work Good Friday you get holiday pay. And I see that you're busy mixing an insulin drip because pharmacy is understaffed but can you stop to update your white board with today's color of pink so your patient knows that today we are giving A+ care and the weather is rainy? And I know we asked you to stay 8 hours over but you clocked in 2 minutes late last Thursday so that's going into your bonus review.
