I see this as a pretty safe bet for Maersk. They get headlines praising their commitment to the environment, and when they inevitably fail to deliver, the public will have forgotten and/or they can blame scientists for not suddenly inventing a miracle fuel that nobody had thought of before.

The only technology that could currently fit the bill is nuclear power, and it is far too expensive (not to mention the Navy has a hard time finding enough nuclear engineers as it is).

I hope I'm wrong, of course.
