Last update on the Air pollution observations of the ESA Copernicus satellite shows the continued low levels of nitrogen dioxide concentrations across Europe which coincides with the confinement measures implemented in order to stop the spread of the COVID19.
It is worth to mention that experts are also trying to figure out the relation between high level of atmospheric pollution and COVID19 casualties.
It is curious to find that the number of covid19 casualties versus number of inhabitants increase in areas on which the atmospheric pollution is higher...
For instance, North of Italy, Madrid, Paris or Central Europe presents this ratio which is not always related with the population density but, instead, seems related with the quality of the air.

Is it possible that we have become weaker against new diseases like this one from COVID19 after years of living under high levels of air pollution?
