The summer season is over and while I was driving back to Belgium today I was thinking about what an incredible summer it has been and how I could put it best into words. Well, I decided to try something I have wanted to do for a while now: start my first 30 day challenge. Thirty days long I will post a picture per day on Steemit and relate it to something that gives meaning to my life, something that I find important.

Why 30 days? Because it is proven that most habits can be formed or deleted in a period between 21 and 45 days. Somewhere in the middle lays 30 days or a month. I like the Steemit platform a lot and would love to create engaging content and get away from the average Facebook and Instagram posts. Also, I like to challenge myself and so, the month of October will be my first cycle. Let's see how far this will go.

THE START

I took this picture of my daughter at the start of the summer on the ferry to Norway and for me this is a very powerful analogy what an image of a fresh start should look like. By the way, aren't all starts fresh in a way anyway?

Fenna is looking into a world she still needs to discover and looks at the surroundings with such a fresh and open mind, the way only 2 and half year olds can do. A toddler can look at something without any judgement or expectation and that is one of the reasons why I am so glad she is in my life. She effortlessly reminds me to stop, look around and welcome what is about to come with open arms. Exactly how any good start should be.

And I am very grateful for that reminder, any journey, any new beginning it is important to start FRESH.

Cheers!
