Given the plot of the novel, I think this is a necessary theme because, at the rate we’re going, we’re forgetting what it means to be human. Technology is advancing at a tremendous pace, but it isn’t to blame for replacing the things we used to do as humans, because it is we who must control it, not the other way round.
