In my case, I must say that I have always been a sensitive person, but, as the years have passed over me, I have become more sensitive and I suffer for the pain caused to human beings and the damage inflicted to the environment.
Perhaps, being a Geography teacher has developed that infinite love for nature which, in the end, is to love ourselves.
Looking at what happens daily in my country and in the world, I can say that there are many things that sadden me, but these are the ones that I leave for the consideration of those who read and follow me:
I am saddened by the cry of a child.
There is nothing that symbolizes sadness better than the frightened cry of a child.
It hurts to see, for example, the cries of children after bombings, wars, assassinations. Sometimes they themselves are the victims and, without knowing it, they are killing the hope of the world.
It pains me that the elderly wander the streets unattended. It is very sad that the beings who cared for us, educated us and contributed in our formation are wandering the streets, without adequate food or without receiving the attention that people of their age should receive.
It distresses me very much when someone to whom I gave my hand and helped me betrays me for crumbs such as a promotion or a position and is capable of descending to the lowest rung of the human species.
It is sad to see how a person is discriminated against because of the color of their skin, sexual preference, sex, age or physical condition and not valued for their actions and human qualities.
I suffer for how we are deteriorating the environment. We are polluting the water, the soil and the atmosphere. In the name of development we are cutting down the trees that are the lungs of the planet and we can no longer breathe pure air.
I am hurt by the wars that are being waged and almost always for reasons and lust for power. In these wars many human beings die and the majority of the victims are children, the elderly and innocent women.
A final comment
Many of these things can be solved through education.
Therefore, I believe that education plays an essential role in the development of interpersonal relationships and facilitates love among human beings.
