Una introducción necesaria
En el caso que nos ocupa hemos disfrutado de otro clásico en muy poco tiempo y esto es algo que para lo que hemos podido disfrutarlo es sencillamente un acontecimiento.
Todos los partidos entre Real Madrid son importantes porque más allá del resultado del encuentro se juega por la historia, la jerarquía, el orgullo y el escudo, pero este juego tenía una importancia capital porque quien lograra ganar en el duelo particular avanzaba a la final de la Copa del Rey.
Para el Barcelona significaba darle un golpe mortal a su eterno rival porque ya lo venció en la final de la Súper Copa de España, los eliminó de la liga y derrotarlo significaría poner otra piedra sobre la temporada del Madrid.
Por su parte, el Real Madrid sabía que derrotar al Barcelona era condenarlos a ganar la Liga y la Súper Copa algo que mejora las temporadas anteriores del equipo azulgrana, pero que no satisface para nada a su directiva y a su exigente fanaticada.

La previa de este encuentro estuvo matizada por varios elementos de interés. Entre otros podemos señalar los siguientes:
•En los tres últimos encuentros el Barcelona derrotó al equipo merengue.
•Estas victorias han tenido una enorme significación para el Barca porque han sido en tres competiciones diferentes con connotaciones a lo interno de ambos equipos.
•La victoria en la Súper Copa le dio al Barcelona su primer título de la temporada, la de la liga los alejó y casi los coronó ya en la competición doméstica y el 1 a 0 de la Copa le permite empatar para pasar a la final.
•El Real Madrid ha logrado encontrar algo de ritmo en su juego y su capitán logró marcar tres goles en la última competición de la liga, partido en el que el equipo anotó seis goles.

Alineaciones
Para este encuentro los dos equipos tuvieron bajas de jugadores que son titulares, pero de los dos el Barcelona ha sido el más perjudicado porque tiene fuera a Pedri, De Joung, Dembelé y Christensen 4 piezas importantes en la construcción de juego, el ataque y la defensa.
En el caso del Real Madrid el problema mayor está por el lateral izquierdo porque Mendy está lesionado desde hace bastante tiempo, aunque Ancelotti tiene jugadores que pueden ocupar esa posición como Davis Alaba y Eduardo Camavinga.

A pesar de las ausencias del Barcelona los azulgranas lograron el dominio del balón, no de la manera acostumbrada, pero sí tuvieron mayor posesión.
No obstante, la ausencia de dos pilares del mediocampo como Pedri y De Joung vieron disminuido a un equipo que tuvo que acudir al juego por los laterales, con un Balde inmenso con vocación ofensiva y creando mucho peligro, Rafiña intentando desbordes, para intentar estar de cara al gol, pero la carencia de un centro del campo eficiente y de un Dembelé que pudiera desbordar por el extremo en el que el Madrid tenía los mayores problemas evitaron que el Barca pudiera anotar su primer gol del partido.
Por el lado opuesto estuvo un Madrid que acudió a su juego de entregar el balón, presionar a su rival y esperar un descuido del rival, un robo del balón o un balón largo para que la velocidad de Vinicius hiciera mella en la defensa rival y poder anotar ese gol que les permitiría empatar la semifinal de copa.

Si el primer tiempo del Madrid fue tímido en este calentaron los motores y sencillamente aplastaron a sus rivales. El Barcelona distaba mucho de ser ese equipo de pases precisos, posesiones largas, compenetración de su medio campo con sus delanteros y se sumió en un juego en el que les valía más el juego de contacto y las faltas que el juego limpio y de toques.
Es imposible, para alguien que ha vivido y visto el fútbol del Barca observar a un equipo que le saquen seis tarjetas amarillas (que pudieron ser más) y practicar un fútbol que se aleja de esa institución futbolística.
Tres goles de Benzema, con penalti incluido, hacen que fuera el más destacado del partido y de paso anotar su sexto gol en los dos últimos partidos; algo que es una buena noticia para el Madrid de cara a los cuartos de la Liga de Campeones.
De igual manera destacar el juego fluido del equipo, con una buena conexión del centro del campo con sus delanteros y la armonía entre Vinicius y Benzema que lograron facturar todos los goles de los merengues.
Resumen del partido
El partido tuvo matices diferentes con dos tiempos totalmente diferente: Un primer tiempo en el que el Real Madrid estuvo poco creativo, el Barcelona más incisivo, un Madrid muy poco agresivo, pero que supo estar ordenado y aguantar los embates de sus rivales.
Al final, el equipo Blanco entregó el balón y jugó a esperar y cazar a su presa en una de las cosas que mejor sabe hacer: contragolpear. Esta estrategia les dio resultado y se fueron al descanso con la semifinal igualada. Todo se definía en el segundo tiempo.
El segundo tiempo fue un solo del Madrid y el Barcelona pareció desmoronarse con el primer gol de Benzema que significaba el segundo gol de los merengues. De ahí en adelante el partido fue blanco y cuando el árbitro pitó el final del encuentro hacía rato que la final estaba decidida.
Mención para Benzema por sus tres goles, Vinicius por el gol inicial y la asistencia al Gato, Modric por su segundo tiempo y su asistencia y Rodrygo por su juego sin balón y el dominio que tiene del espacio.
Pero, un reconocimiento para Camavinga porque Ancelotti lo puso de lateral izquierdo y cumplió con creces en el partido. Si el primer tiempo terminó sin goles para los de casa se debió en gran medida a su excelente trabajo.
Ha ganado el Madrid y de paso logra cortar tres derrotas consecutivas ante el Barcelona, los elimina de la final de Copa y los aplasta en su Spofity Can Nou.
