Una introducción necesaria
En toda competición hay muchas historias de vida y, en las olimpiadas, mucho más porque esta es la máxima competición y la que todos los que participan quisieran ganar. Dentro de ella hay etapas muy apasionadas e interesantes y de una les hablaré en el día de hoy.
Espero que les guste tanto como a mí esta fase de los Juegos Olímpicos y los invito a que vivan conmigo esta apasionante ceremonia.
Ceremonia de la llama olímpica
El 26 de julio comienzan los Juegos Olímpicos de París 2024, pero, esta historia se inició desde mucho antes porque hubo que presentar la candidatura, pelear por ganarla y esperar el fallo del Comité Olímpico Internacional (COI) en torno al ganador de los juegos.
Después vino todo el proceso de construcción de las sedes deportivas y remodelación de otras. Dentro de las cosas que me apasionan de los juegos multideportivos son las ceremonias inaugurales porque estos espectáculos se convierten en historia de tradiciones y cultura de las naciones donde se desarrollan. Por espacio de algo más de dos horas, los organizadores exponen los elementos fundamentales de la cultura de la nación, sus normas, costumbres, reglas, utilizando para ellos diferentes manifestaciones artísticas.
Una de esas tradiciones comienza este 26 de abril, a tres meses de iniciar los Juegos Olímpicos Paris 2024.
Esta tradición comienza en Olimpia, Grecia, que es la cuna del olimpismo moderno.
Esta llama se lleva hasta el estadio Panatenaico, sede de los primeros juegos olímpicos, y comienza su andar desde Grecia hasta el país sede de los juegos.

Además, la llama significa la lucha permanente por el bien.
Debe ser por eso que durante los juegos la llama no se apaga y arde, a pesar de la lluvia y del viento.
La llama y el inicio de los juegos
Por más que el presidente del país deje oficialmente inaugurado los juegos, este proceso se inicia realmente cuando en el pebetero arde la llama olímpica.
Como expliqué en otra publicación, desde Barcelona, en 1992, el encendido del pebetero es el secreto mejor guardado de los juegos y, en cada edición el comité organizador de los juegos se ha empeñado en hacerlo de la manera más original posible y de encenderlo se ocupan personalidades y atletas destacados que, en una carrera de relevo llegan hasta el que lleva a vías de hecho el encendido.
