La previa del encuentro estuvo matizada por varios elementos importantes:

A nivel futbol铆stico los del United han vencido en sus 煤ltimos partidos lo que les ha permitido avanzar en la tabla de posiciones; mientras el City ha perdido puntos valiosos tras perder y empatar en sus 煤ltimos 4 partidos. SI el Manchester United est谩 atravesando la mejor etapa de su 煤ltimo quinquenio el City no lo est谩 pasando nada bien, pues, el United avanz贸 en la Copa de Inglaterra mientras al poderoso City de Guardiola lo eliminaba el colero de la competici贸n.
En cuanto al 煤ltimo partido entre estos dos colosos del f煤tbol mundial la sonrisa fue para los de Guardiola que le dieron una exhibici贸n de f煤tbol a sus rivales y los vencieron por goleada de 6 a 3. Esa victoria en el estadio del City contribuy贸 a alimentar el mal momento por el que atravesaba el equipo rojo.
Otros elementos importantes se estaban jugando en este partido, pues, el ganador daba un golpe de autoridad. En el caso del United demostrar que su buen momento no es obra de la casualidad y que el trabajo de Erik Ten Hag est谩 dando resultados lo que podr铆a validarse de ganarle al todopoderoso City. Otro elemento importante ser铆a acercarse a un punto de su rival, consolidarse en puesto de Champions y lanzar un mensaje de que estaba luchando por la liga.
Para el City la victoria significar铆a no alejarse m谩s de la cima, de la que est谩 alejado por 5 puntos y de combinarse derrota de ellos con victoria del Arsenal ser铆a de 8 y casi dir铆an adi贸s a la Premier. De igual manera, la derrota supondr铆a que su rival de turno se acercara a un punto y le complicara la situaci贸n en la lucha por la corona liguera.

驴D贸nde se jug贸 el encuentro?
El partido se jug贸 en el estadio Old Trafford, correspondiente al Manchester United y donde los aficionados est谩n viviendo momentos de j煤bilo por el repunte de su equipo y la buena vibra del vestuario.
PRIMER TIEMPO
Un tiempo que se caracteriz贸 por el dominio del bal贸n por parte del Manchester City, pero los mayores peligros los cre贸 el United. Para tener una idea de lo anterior baste decir que el 煤nico disparo a puerta del City ocurri贸 antes del pitazo final del parcial. Otro elemento que demuestra la inefectividad del equipo de Guardiola fue que a su l铆der goleador casi no le lleg贸 bal贸n y en ocasiones Haaland tuvo que salir de su posici贸n natural, para intentar crear peligro en el 谩rea rival.
El otro elemento que demuestra la ineficacia del juego del City fue que su capit谩n Kevin De Bruyne no estuvo muy asociativo, no gener贸 como de costumbre y por consiguiente no logr贸 aportar al juego ofensivo y de creaci贸n de su equipo.
Por su parte, el Manchester United se sinti贸 c贸modo sin el bal贸n, cre贸 peligro en el contragolpe y su l铆nea de presi贸n, sobre el equipo rival impidi贸 que este pudiera desarrollar su juego creativo.
Al concluir el primer tiempo ambos equipos se fueron sin goles en el marcador y se estaban repartiendo un punto por bando.
SEGUNDO TIEMPO
Este periodo comenz贸 con una din谩mica diferente a favor del City que adelant贸 sus l铆neas y vio como tres de sus jugadores estrellas se incorporaron al juego ofensivo: De Bruyne m谩s participativo, Bernardo Silva m谩s incisivo y creativo y Mahrez m谩s incorporado al ataque desde el centro del terreno.
Este cambio de ritmo del City y la entrada de Grealish por Foden dieron sus primeros frutos al equipo de Guardiola, cuando a solo unos minutos de entrar Jack Grealish logra marcar el primer gol, tras una excelente jugada y asistencia del mejor jugador de la segunda mitad: Kevin De Bruyne.
El gol del equipo visitante lejos de meterlos atr谩s los motiv贸 y siguieron empujando con el objetivo de lograr ampliar el marcador y en honor a la verdad, mas cerca estuvo el City del segundo gol que el United del empate. Sin embargo, el City fue incapaz de ampliar el marcador.
Dos minutos le bastaron al United, para darle vuelta al marcador cuando primero empat贸 Bruno Fern谩ndez, con pol茅mica incluida y dos minutos m谩s tarde marcaba su delantero del momento y que estuvo a punto de no salir en el segundo tiempo por lesi贸n: Marcus Rashford.
Al final el marcador no se movi贸 m谩s y el Manchester United se vengaba de la derrota sufrida contra su rival de turno.

On a soccer level, United have won their last few games which has allowed them to move up the table; while City have dropped valuable points after losing and drawing in their last 4 games. If Manchester United is going through the best stage of its last five years, City is not having a good time at all, as United advanced in the FA Cup while Guardiola's powerful City was eliminated by the bottom of the competition.
As for the last match between these two giants of world soccer, the smile went to Guardiola's team, who gave a soccer exhibition to their rivals and defeated them by a 6-3 scoreline. This victory at City's stadium contributed to feed the bad moment the red team was going through.

Other important elements were at stake in this match, as the winner gave a blow of authority. In the case of United, it would show that their good moment is not a coincidence and that Erik Ten Hag's work is paying off, which could be validated if they beat the all-powerful City. Another important element would be to come within one point of their rivals, consolidate their place in the Champions League and send a message that they were fighting for the league.
For City, victory would mean not moving further away from the top, from which they are 5 points behind, and if they lose and Arsenal win, it would be 8 points and they would almost say goodbye to the Premier League. FIRST HALF
The first half was characterized by Manchester City's dominance of the ball, but the greatest danger was created by United. To get an idea of this, suffice it to say that City's only shot on goal came before the final whistle of the half. Another element that demonstrates the ineffectiveness of Guardiola's team was that their leading scorer hardly got the ball and on occasions Haaland had to come out of his natural position to try to create danger in the opponent's area.
The other element that shows the ineffectiveness of City's play was that their captain Kevin De Bruyne was not very associative, did not generate as usual and therefore failed to contribute to the offensive and creative play of his team.
On the other hand, Manchester United felt comfortable without the ball, created danger on the counter-attack and their line of pressure on the opposing team prevented them from developing their creative play.
At the end of the first half, both teams were scoreless and were sharing a point apiece.
SECOND HALF
This period started with a different dynamic in favor of City who moved forward their lines and saw three of their star players join the attacking play: De Bruyne more involved, Bernardo Silva more incisive and creative and Mahrez more incorporated into the attack from the center of the field.
This change of pace for City and the introduction of Grealish for Foden gave the first fruits to Guardiola's team, when just a few minutes after coming on Jack Grealish managed to score the first goal, after an excellent play and assistance from the best player of the second half: Kevin De Bruyne.
The goal of the visiting team far from putting them back motivated them and they kept pushing with the aim of extending the score and in all honesty, City came closer to the second goal than United did to the equalizer. However, City were unable to extend the lead.
Two minutes were enough for United to turn the score around when first Bruno Fernandez equalized, with controversy included, and two minutes later their striker of the moment scored and who was about to not start the second half due to injury: Marcus Rashford.
In the end, the scoreboard did not move any more and Manchester United took revenge for the defeat suffered against their rival.
KEYS TO MANCHESTER UNITED'S VICTORY
SUMMARY
It was an intense match, with different nuances and in which each team bet on their best weapons, in order to achieve the important victory. Both teams showed courage and gave their all, but the positive result went to Manchester United, who not only achieved the victory, because beyond the result, the most important thing for this author was the following:
