I have never used Trust Wallet befor since it seems like Binance and US don't mix well and on top of that, adding Apple to that mix sounds like a disaster, so I was never interested in the wallet.
But last few weeks I have been thinking a lot more about moving out of ETH DeFi... because of the insane gas fees.
But then Trust Wallet seemed like a good option for what I want to do next, so I downloaded it to my iPhone.
I haven't use it much but as wallet, it looks decent. You can store bunch of different coins and exchange tokens and all the usual stuff that other wallets offer.
So that is good.
What makes it unusable is that I get all kind of warning messages because of where I live and that restricts the use of many features... that I really need to use.
One of them is the built in DApp browser. I think DApp browser is an essential part of wallet these days because through the browser, you can access to decentralized applications like these 👇
If you use Andrid app, things are little easier, but since I use iPhone, I don't have access to this browser.
Trust Wallet removed DApp browser to comply with Apple App Store guidelines
Apple hates crypto and it makes things harder for iPhone users. This similar thing happened to the iOS version of Brave browser.
So if you use Trust Wallet on iOS, you don't have access to DApp browser which is makes the app unusable pretty much.
There are other options though...
You can swtich to Android phone!
You can use the Test Flight version on iPhone!
You can use WalletConnect! and stuff like that...
But the easiest way to enable DApp browser
is this 👇
Open Safari Browser and then type in the URL:
trust://browser_enable
then tap on Go.
And then Safari wants you open Trust Wallet so click open.
And you will the browser!!!
This doesn't solve all the issues that I have with the wallet but at least I can access all the DApps from the wallet and it makes a lot easier to use :)
