It pleases me to announce that the National Banner Bearers (Youths) Camp Conference is ongoing and has been very successful and quite impactful so far. Many teachings has been taught, many messages preached and we are certain everyone will go home different and better.
What is Inheritance?
According to Wikipedia, inheritance refers to the practice of passing on properties, wealth, positions, titles, debts, rights, and obligations upon the death of an individual to someone else who is deserving. It also states that the rules of inheritance differ among societies, places, cultures and have changed over time.
If you noticed in the above definition, you will discover that both the good and the bad stuffs are being transferred in the inheritance possessing. However, this is the worldly inheritance pattern; it is not applicable in God's kingdom. There is no negativity in God's inheritance. All God has in store for us are good and pleasant things - the more reason we should seek to become and remain true heirs.
God's inheritance further includes all spiritual good, provided through and only in Jesus Christ, and explicitly, all that is contained in the hope grounded on the promise of God.
The younger son said to him, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them. (Luke 15:12)
Capacity to Receive God's Inheritances
Not every man on the surface of the earth is entitled to God's possessions. Only those found worthy by God can have access to God's hidden treasures. It should be noted that the only way to be worthy of God's possessions is through receiving and accepting Jesus Christ who came to die for mankind. It is therefore through adoption and new birth that one can become true heirs of God.
Sustaining God's Inheritance
Having been made heirs through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and having received Him as personal Lord and Saviour, we have access to His blessings but there are things to be done, if one must sustain the sonship position.
Firstly, you need to live a holy and righteous life. You cannot do this all by yourself, you need the power of God to do so. Seek this power!
In addition, you need to know God's word in-depthly while also trusting and abiding in Him at all times. Continually focus on Him and Him alone and your sonship rights will be intact.
It is one thing to receive a thing but it is another thing sustaining them. Live such that your rights and privileges as a heir of God will never be taken away. Shalom!
