Daniel went to the King, told his dream and interpreted it for him. In his dream, the king saw a strange image like a human being, with different parts of the body made of different metals.
Below is the summary (Dan 2:24-36):
THE HEAD OF GOLD is BABYLON (Dan 2:37, 38)
Nebuchadnezzar represents this kingdom (Dan 2:37, 38), BABYLON (ca. 605 538 BC).
Feet of Iron and Clay represent the condition of the world after the iron empire until the Kingdom of God comes (Dan 2:41-45)
Describing the FEET OF IRON AND CLAY, God gave Daniel FOUR major characteristics of that Empire (Dan 2:41-44):
- The kingdom will be divided but retain some strength of the iron (Dan 2:41).
- The kingdom will be partly STRONG and partly WEAK (Dan 2:42).
- The people of the kingdom will be a mixture but not remain united (Dan 2:43).
- This will be the last ruling world Empire in whose time God will set up His everlasting Kingdom (Dan 2:44).
- Dan 2:43 says of the Kingdom of Iron and Clay: "they shall not cleave one to another. "
- These seven words have stood in the way of world unity for more than 1,500 years.
THE ULTIMATE END: THE STONE KINGDOM (Dan 2:44, 45)
The falling stone and the destruction of the image point to the end of the long human struggle for control of the world (the Second Coming of Christ). A new world is to rise from the chaos.
The great physicist Albert Einstein warned:
"One world or none "
A new world order is precisely the message of daniel.
But who will fulfil the global dream?
- There is a God in heaven who reveals secrets (Dan 2:28)
- The God of heaven sets up kings and removes kings (Dan 2:21)
- The kingdom of God is the STONE that fills the earth. The STONE KINGDOM ushers in the New World that philosophers and scientist are looking for in vain (Dan 2:44, 45)
The STONE that fills the earth is God’s everlasting kingdom – the NEW WORLD!
The STONE KINGDOM of Dan 2:44, 45 refers to the KINGDOM OF GOD which will be ushered in at the Second Coming of Christ.
Are you preparing to be in that KINGDOM that will last FOREVER?
Not only Daniel, but practically all the Bible prophets tell us that God's kingdom will come. This is one of the great certainties of the future.
