Yesterday when I attended a meeting to the Education Office in Medan City, the clock showed lunch and I was very hungry today and because I have stomach acid so my tolerance for hunger is very low, my stomach became uncomfortable and my head became dizzy and I decided to look for lunch at the nearest stall which is famous for Warung Chili Hijau and this stall is very unique and is in Medan City. Although this stall is in the center of Medan City, the concept applied in this stall is Traditional, this can be seen from the beginning to the end of my stay here and honestly this is the first time I have chosen this stall for my lunch agenda.
In a big city like Medan, there are not many cafes that provide parking. Usually cars will be parked on the side of the road, but this cafe is different. Although the parking lot at this cafe is not very large, they have managed to build their own parking lot without bothering other road users. Bamboo trees are planted around the parking lot to shade vehicles so that it is not too hot for vehicles parked there.
Entering as a welcome gate I was presented by 2 statues of Mickey and Minie card characters then on the right and left sides of the statue we will be presented with a collection of clay jugs of various sizes with dark brown colors that match the entire classic building color even because the theme of this cafe is too classic, the impression is between horror and luxury at the same time because we know that items 20-30 years ago have a high selling price today because the materials used to make an item at that time were of good quality. entering this cafe I really regretted that I chose to have lunch alone because this cafe is better when there are friends or loved ones around us.
The roof of the cafe is made of rumbia tree leaves and the lights that decorate each pillar are old-style lamps when I was little which I often call teplok lamps. Where this lamp is a wick lamp with kerosene and lit with fire. really remembering this object I remember the past Where at that time my house was not yet touched by electricity and I used that lamp too. This cafe managed to stir up a little of my emotions to really be able to repeat the past and they also managed to make me full with delicious dishes.
the types of chairs they use also show their traditional identity. we can see there are several types of chairs that are all made of wood that is quite old so that there are natural carvings there and from this chair alone it shows the price and quality of their cafe that they are not playing around to show who they are with the theme that is carried not half-heartedly and decorations like this are luxurious traditional decorations that I want to see. then the luxury of this cafe can also be found in one corner of the cafe where there are many ivory white Vespas neatly arranged there and this is one type of Vespa that is very rare.
on the walls behind the vespa there are photos of memories with black and white print out dimensions that are still very traditional so that it is as if I really came back home and this is really an extraordinary experience for me. a delicious lunch with a simple home menu with a delicious taste managed to fill my stomach with satisfaction. in the future I will invite my wife to this cafe. and she must be very happy, that's all for my post and greetings from tomi diwirja.
