Don't you get tired of consuming the endless stream of information from the all the sources available today? Maybe not if you are reading this, especially if you came from a share on a social platform. I arrived at this location several years ago. I stopped watching TV 5-6 years ago. I don't feel misinformed. The important information floods all the sources of information. I was planning to stop using Facebook & other social networks few years ago until I realized the way I use the platforms is entirely under my control, my focus, my conscious attention.
The way a person interacts with the feeds of information is very very similar to the gambling machine - you roll the scroll of your mouse, you swipe on the screen of your smart devices, probably waiting to win the lottery...
I am not going to dive deep into it, but - the chemistry behind is very similar - when you drink your coffee, when you snack some sugar-intense product, when you scroll on your news feed, when you receive notifications. If you can't go away from any of these things for, for example - one week, you are addicted, you have left your unconscious mind, your senses to control you.
Content and information are addictive things too. As long as there is more content, and there will be, you will continue to consume and not create or produce nothing and even start to think on your own.
What I have noticed is that some people produce immense quantity of content. I stopped "following" them because their stuff is all the same. A person does not give birth to new ideas and creates them in the real world in a second or in a time of one post. What is in the same time true is - one does not archive perfection by one post, by one picture, by one try. Doing it is the only way to reach perfection and so if you plan to be somebody in the almost infinite digital world - you should do it too.
In the end of the they you are not your profile. This is just your digital image your digital ego. Detaching your feelings from the outcome in the accounts you control will bring you peace and a more clear, eagle eye view of what the situation is and where you could position yourself, even do something that will bring you success in mathematical (counts) perspective.
Which side you will choose today - the consumer of content or the producer? Even if you don't receive back the feedback that you expect by creating and publishing stuff - this is the only way you'll be a winner - you will know what to change in the future.
