There is a trend to talk about, learn, explore and do stuff with Artificial Intelligence(AI). It sounds cool, advanced, out of this world. It is mainstream. It is marketing. "Look at me, I am using AI!". This tendency to call every little bit smart software an AI is getting a little bit frustrating. But what actually is AI and what is not?
- It is software and hardware made by humans. No matter how good it is, it will never be as smart as the Human Being because he can never be ABSOLUTELY perfect. And there is something else - the human intelligence goes beyond logical thinking in which the computers are good at.
- The human intelligence consists also of Emotional Intelligence. In this matter the software has none. Computers have no emotions. They execute and do exactly what they are programmed to do.
- The computers don't have moral sense. Each individual person can decide on its own if he wants to - if something is right or wrong, good or bad, smart or stupid. A machine will kill human beings if they are programmed to - without any internal struggle.
- Computers don't have intuition and imagination. Their creative capabilities are limited to the data and the programming code that is loaded into them. They cannot create something out of thin air.
In the end of the day AI is just a computer algorithm that makes decisions based on the programming code - the evaluating mechanism and the historical data. In every important computer learning system there is a human that tells him what is right and what is wrong because both the program algorithm and the information are imperfect as the human being that created them.
